Blue Rock Foundation helps out at Thrower House
Mentors Melissa Chapman and Rachel Hide from the Blue Rock Foundation Gold Coast were dodging water bombs as they ran a fun morning of water activities at Thrower House during the school holidays. Thrower House in Currumbin is a safe space for teenagers to hang out, providing positive activities to keep kids busy during weekends and holidays (See http://www.gcparks.com.au/activities.aspx?page=43).
A big shout out to Daynia Ruth Laughter Yoga instructor who also helped out at Thrower House for the school holiday program and had some great feedback for her contribution:
“I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your group and your facilitation skills. I observed the young people were quite hesitant to engage and after they did they couldn’t stop laughing. After the group I observed the group dynamics had changed and bought a sense of an ‘easy going’ attitude to the rest of the day. Thank you.”
